      Re: Where can I get older versions of RetroPie?

      I've been trying to get a copy of retropie 4.1, running, but I've been having issues.
      When I download version 4.1 or 4.2 from the github page:
      https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/releases
      I image microsd card and load it into the pi. On initial boot, the pi is stuck in the splash screen and hangs there. When I image the same sd card with version 4.4, it runs fine!
      Is it my sd card (i'm using FAT16) that works with current version and not with old versions?
      I've tried the workaround on the forums to add a boot_delay=1 to the .cfg thing

      Anyway, my current thought is to get a version of 4.1 someone else has run successfully, and troubleshoot from there.

        There's no reason to be using older versions of retropie. Especially when they aren't compatible with the newest rpi hardware

          @MaximStroud

          Why would you want an older version of RetroPie now that the latest version works perfectly fine?

            I'm trying to get a certain nds emulator to run properly, and the tutorial I'm following uses 4.1. The only thing I'm doing differently is using retropie 4.4

            It sounds like its a silly request, thanks anyway @tpo1990 @herb_fargus

              The same emulator is available in 4.4, did you try to configure it and it doesn't work ? In the same vein, the video is probably using an older Raspberry Pi version than yours, are you going to also downgrade the hardware to make sure you're on the same 'version' as the video ?

                  @MaximStroud Have you tried adding the bios files and boot it that way ? Can you provide the log file (/dev/shm/runcommand.log) taken after starting the game ? What other games have you tried running ?
