Any way to open RGUI on mupen64plus?
-
I've briefly read through the documentation but I can't find anything on opening RGUI on the mupen64plus.
By default it's HOTKEY + X. Doing so works on others emulators but not mupen64plus. It may work on lr-mupen64plus but I don't want to change emulators sacrificing performance.
Any fixes? This is so apply some custom borders added to /opt/retropie/emulators/retroarch/n64

mupen64plus
... is no libretro emulator. So no RGUI.

... and so no way!

@mitu I see. Didn't know that it worked like that. I'll try with lr-mupen64plus. Am I right in saying that lr-mupen64plus will have slower performance than mupen64plus?
-
Yes, the non-libretro emulator has better performance.
-
@mitu Okay. Thanks. Also, would there be any way to set all the games in N64 to have the video setting CEA1 (lowest res. for highest performance) instead of editing each one individually via recommend?
-
@Nicky_S14 You can set the video mode the emulator in the Runcommand menu and it will apply to all games started with that emulator.
-
@Nicky_S14 effectively it already does that by default. it just upscales that framebuffer to your screen's resolution, which is 'free' on a rpi3.

I set my video mode, for standard mupen64plus, here.
/opt/retropie/configs/n64
Open mupen64plus.cfg, scroll down to ...
[Video-General]
Fullscreen = True
ScreenWidth = 320
ScreenHeight = 240
VerticalSync = False
AspectRatio = TrueThat is what I use for 240p on a CRT. On a LCD, change the screen size to whatever you want it to be. This works for all N64 games.
