      Hi

I have just built a gaming cabinet and I currently have only one game installed. I am having issues though, when I exit the game (Pac Man) using the hot key and select and get back to the Emulation Station and then return to the game I am getting an error saying some of the game files are missing and I have to reinstall the game. This happens about 90% of the time and I'm unsure as to what I am doing wrong.

      Thanks in advance.

      Will

Can you give the exact error message you're seeing ? Can you give more details about your system as requested in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first ? Does the game run ok ?

thanks for the reply. Actually I think I have it sorted. When I exit the Emulation Station via the shut down menu option the problems do not occur. I was reading on some forums to press F4 to exit.

@RetroWill said in Game Files Missing:

I was reading on some forums to press F4 to exit.

You press F4 if you want to access the command line and issue commands. Normal operation is to use the ES menu and Quit/Shutdown/Restart.
