Need help with 8bitdo arcade stick firmware update...

Hey, y'all.
Does anybody use the 8bitdo NS30 Arcade Stick, and if so, have you been able to successfully update the firmware? I have several other 8bitdo gamepads and successfully updated them all. I've been trying to hold down Start+R1+L2, but I can't get it to go into update mode. And if I just plug it into my computer and use the updater, it either doesn't recognize the gamepad, or get's hung up on Prepare To Update.
If anybody's gotten this to work, I'd love to hear from you. Let me know how you did it.
