        @TheDataCereal

Can’t I just buy a Raspberry Pi, an enclosure, gamepad, keyboard, and mouse, 3D print a faceplate, install Armbian, buy 30+ games, build the source for ARM or install/configure in DOSBox for each and every game, create a menu system with game art, and tell everyone about it at parties?

        No

Until I see the Banana Jr. 6000, these 'mini' systems aren't impressing me.

System Config: Retropie 4.4 with full desktop, RPi 3B, 256gb SD, 5v 2.1A 5,200 mAH USB battery. EasyMSX controller mounted with Pimoroni Hyperpixel 4 (non touch). Also running 4.6 on a 4gb Pi 4 serving as my primary desktop computer now.

You should make that the official Docs guide.

Still waiting for something like this, but DOSBox only emulation is meh. It would be great if this little box supported Win95/98 games.. Wondering why we still don't have anything like it yet

@Spiky I'm tempted to see if I can make a 'stick' PC handheld. Those run Win 10, I'll have to see how it does for gaming.

I think its great that there are companies/people out there who want to officially release complete mini consoles/emulator boxes for the average user that does not have any knowledge on building their own emulator box.

Dos games are great but it would be really cool if it could support x86 games like Half-life, Diablo 2, Unreal Tournament. Command & Conquer Red Alert 2. Star Craft.

if it doesn't have a 486 dx processor and a soundblaster i'm not interested.

@tpo1990 My next build is going to be a Pi/Stick PC hybrid that will be able to do just that.

@VictimRLSH Sounds good. Maybe you can install RetroPie for X86 on the PC Stick hybrid. It would be cool just to have a Windows PC Stick installed with RetroPie configured with the emulators and x86 games installed. It would make it very portable and easy to plug and play. :-)

I know that Asus did create a Windows 10 stick with an Intel Atom processor but it might be too expensive.

@tpo1990 They are around $100, but do include the power supply, case, fan, and 32gb internal memory, so about the same as a comparably equipped 3B+

@VictimRLSH Only $100 dollars wow thats a good price. Unfortunately not in my country (Denmark). The price is around $190 for an Asus Vivostick PC.

But there might be other good alternatives for running Windows on a stick or maybe like an Intel NUC box. I wonder if building your own mini PC would be good enough for a budget.

@tpo1990 I have all the other parts, so this is really just going to cost me $100. Just adding a battery, HDMI display, 256gb USB memory stick, mini keyboard, and controller. These would run about $150-$200 more.

System Config: Retropie 4.4 with full desktop, RPi 3B, 256gb SD, 5v 2.1A 5,200 mAH USB battery. EasyMSX controller mounted with Pimoroni Hyperpixel 4 (non touch). Also running 4.6 on a 4gb Pi 4 serving as my primary desktop computer now.

it sounds a little expensive but if one can find parts for free then it might keep the budget down.

Once you are done with your build, will you be sharing with pictures here on RetroPie forums? :-)
