      ok, so we have a new tv, so i've been allowed to keep this for my retropie projects...

      no for the life of me i can't get any audio to work!!
      i had it working on my old samsung, i just unplugged & plugged into the Toshiba TV

      gonna do an update now

      Pi Model: 3
      RetroPie Version Used: updated last nite
      Built From: Binary
      USB Devices connected: controller, 64gb & 128gb USB drives
      Controller used: Razer ONZA Tournament
      Error messages received: No Audio
      Guide used: (usual audio fix guide)
      Emulator: ALL

      RPi 3 - RetroPie + 500gb HDD [consoles] + Razer Onza Tournament
      RPi 3 - RetroPie + 32gb USB [computers] + Keyboard
      both with AttractMode + FuzzBoxx Layout

          this was the missing piece

          #Pretends all audio formats are supported by display, allowing passthrough of DTS/AC even when not reported as supported.
          hdmi_force_edid_audio=1
