Hi, I wrote my old retropie backup image to an USB drive to get the old config.txt I used in that backup.
Unfortunately when I plugged the usb on pc (with ubuntu) i checked and boot folder is empty?

How is that possible? Is it maybe elsewhere?

The config.txt should be on the boot partition, not necessarily in the boot folder. If you look on the USB drive, you should have 2 partitions, make sure you're looking at the FAT32 partition (the 1st one) and not the Linux one, where the boot folder should be empty since it's mounted from the 1st partition.
