Game specific shader setting in RetroArch not reloading
I'm basically pretty happy with my setup (Retroarch 1.6.9 on a RPi 3B), with the crt-pi shader loaded per default via my Retroarch.cfg file in the all folder.
BUT, since some games run slower and look a bit weird (like some vertical shooters), I'd love to just enter the RGUI (Select+X), remove the shader, and save game override. When exiting the game and restarting it, it states "configuration override loaded" but the shader is back on. What am I doing wrong?
What am I doing wrong?
Putting the shader configuration in the global file, most likely.
But it should be possible to override this, shouldn't it?
I mean, if 90% of the games are neat with a shader, it would be the smartest way to override the few that doesn't...
another approach is to try the zfast-crt shaders for everything - they are supposed to be faster.
@dankcushions Thanks, will try this. But they will still be slower than no shaders, right?
@AndersHP it's only slower if the shader causes you to lose frames, but i would guess that the 10% of games that you're losing frames with the crt-pi shader now, it will be less than 10% with the zfast-crt shader.. maybe 0% :)
