      Hello,

      For the raspberry , it is not easy or not possible to use gimp for longer use, in case of large images.
      Ideally would be to have a sort of photoshop vers. 6 or lower, which could improve performances.

      Gimp is really nice but it runs quite slow if working with pictures. Memory, hardware,...
      Smaller code and more efficient needed.

      Well, what about a specific improvement of x11 xpaint with layers, and more functionalities like photoshop?
