Hello everyone! Today I decided to give Retro-Pie a go, but unfortunately, the tutorial at https://blog.petrockblock.com/2012/07/22/retropie-setup-an-initialization-script-for-retroarch-on-the-raspberry-pi didn't work for me.
      When I tried to do

sudo apt-get install -y git dialog

      the terminal responded with

      /usr/sbin/update-info-dir: 3: /etc/default/locale: =: not found
dpkg: error processing package install-info (--configure):
subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 127
      Errors were encountered while processing:
       install-info
      E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)

I tried ignoring that and proceeded with the tutorial, but when I tried to run

      sudo ./retropie_setup.sh

      it came up with

Sorry - Raspbian/Debian Stretch (and newer) is not yet supported on the RPI

      Distributor ID:	Raspbian
      Description:	Raspbian GNU/Linux 9.6 (stretch)
      Release:	9.6
      Codename:	stretch

Can someone please tell me what I am doing wrong? FYI I am running Raspbian Stretch on a Raspberry Pi 3B. Thanks in advance.

@romanCitizen that's way out of date. Use the current docs.
