Re: Retropie unable to detect Competition Pro USB Joystick SL-6603-TWT

As in above topic I am stuck at the controller config. I had Retropie operational with this controller on a Pi 3b with 2.5A power cable connected. Due to a memory card faillure I did a new install dualboot with LibrElec.

When I boot into Retropie I get the controller config. With my keyboard is goes well but with my controller plugged in not very much is happening.

I got the Gamepad-detected message. But when I push a button, a little vague the name of controller is showing up in the bottum of the dialog. But I cannot configure the controller.

But in my previous installation (i forgot which version) it was working.
In Windows the controller is full functional. When configurating it strikes me that when I put a button --> the light is not "ON" but "flickering" (manner of autofire?).

Does anyone have a solution. Or can I input some code in a config file which make the controller work en passing by the controller config?

Thank you and with best regards..

      Jan

@boomspar said in Competition Pro Joystick SL-6602 controller config:

You should keep the button pressed until the actual configuration starts, if you just press it briefly, it will only show the controller who's button you pressed, but it will not start the configuration right away.

Thanks four your answer. That is what I am doing. I think the controller is pushing a . . . . . . signal when I hold the button instead of constant _______.

Has anyone the same joystick working in ES?

So yes? Is it possible to copy config lines from that user to my config files to get around the controller config gui?

Autofire switch was broken. Now it's ok!
