      hi at all,

I cannot login after updating a fresh install. it rejects "pi/raspberry" as login:

Login with pi , then enter the password - raspberry. Run sudo raspi-config, open the Boot Options menu, then go into Desktop/CLI, then finally enable Auto-Login to Console .

@naddel81 said in not able to login after update!:

thanks. but is this a bug?

No, it's because of an OS update which happened to reset the auto-login configuration.

and am I the first to encounter this?

No, in fact there are quite a few topics in the forum detailing this problem and how to fix it. Did you try searching before opening a new topic ?

how is this not a bug when it prevents the usage of retropie for many not so well educated users here?

@naddel81 Sorry, I meant to say it's not a RetroPie bug.

@naddel81 It's already been reported upstream (Raspbian).
