      Hi,

when I reply to threads, they are not always marked as to be watched, although I have enabled the option "watch topics you reply to" and I have set all Notifications on "Notification Only". I didn't notice any pattern to this behaviour, i.e. when the auto-watch fails and when it does work.

The last time it happened was some minutes ago when I replied to https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/20460/booting-retropie-from-network/. I had to set "Watching" manually after my reply.

It this a known behaviour, or do I miss something?

edit: I am using Firefox 64.0 on Kubuntu 18.04.1 64 bit.

      Thanks
      Clyde

Next in line: https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/20458/emulationstation-freezes-when-configuring-controller/. No automatic watching.

I have set this topic to "not watching" and I will test some replies.

Ah, it now seems that it's not the watching itself, but its immediate display. I had to reload the page to see it change for my last two replies. If it is so in general (for me), this still happens irregularly.

I don't get this problem - and I reply to a lot of topics.

@mitu Which browsers(s) do you use on which operating system(s)?

Maybe one of my addons causes the issue. uBlock Origin and uMatrix would be the usual suspects, but I allowed all content for this forum in them.

Just another test, this time in my "demilitarized zone" Chromium 71.0.3578.80.

Same result in Chromium with standard settings and no addons. Watching only shows up after manual reloading.

@Clyde I use both Firefox on Win and Safari on macOS, both have UBO installed.

@mitu I almost would rule out any addons anyway, since it also happens to me in Chromium without any addons.

It certainly is strange that it happens to me frequently with two different browsers. I can't imagine such an effect having anything to do with my OS or router.
