How to add alternative scraper with no ~ symbol ( where is it)

I'm trying to add an alternative scraper but when I type this symbol ~, which I need to add to the command line in my Raspberry Pi, even if I use the same keyboard as I'm using now I can't find it. Registered GB keyboard on inputs etc. Help please.

Use
/home/pi/instead of~.
Normally the keyboard layout can be changed fromRaspi-Config(Localization Option), which you can start from the command line withsudo raspi-configor from the RetroPie system in Emulationstation. -
Ive already set the UK inputs but still getting this problem. Thanks for the response so quick but still makes no sense

@mitu explained.. if you see the ~ symbol replace it with /home/pi/
