I have a ROM of ISS Pro Evolution 2. For those who don't know this is a football (soccer) game for the Playstation but Konami didn't have licenses, because FIFA had them, so the player names are all incorrect.

There is a saved game file (known as an option file) here on GameFAQs.

I can open this using MemCardRex and it does indeed seem to be exactly what GameFAQs claims it is.

How can I get this on my Raspberry Pi, so that when I load Pro Evo it has all the correct names?

Pi Model or other hardware: 3B
Power Supply used: (If using a Pi) The standard plug from the starter kit.
RetroPie Version Used (eg 3.6, 3.8.1, 4.1 - do not write latest): 4.4
Built From: Pre made SD Image on RetroPie website
      USB Devices connected: None
      Controller used: Dualshock 4
      File: \192.168.0.11\roms\psx\ISS Pro Evolution 2 (Europe) (En,Fr,De) (Track 01).bin
      Emulator: lr-pcsx-rearmed

Save the save (!) file as a 'mcr' file, rename it so the filename is <GAME_NAME>.srm and then copy it alongside your ROM in the psx folder. It should be loaded by the emulator as the 1st memory card.

I actually tried that just now but it didn't work.

I've just seen this on reddit which I'll try tomorrow and report back.

Figured I'd update this to say nothing seems to work. No matter what I've tried, the option file doesn't load. (The easiest way to check is to load the game > game options > edit mode > player name edit > scroll right three times to the Wales flag and the bottom player should be Giggs. If it's Geags, it's not worked.

Hopefully someone randomly finds this thread in the future and supplies a fix. I've officially given up. :(

              @Baz Hi Baz,

Not sure if you will pick this up since it's an old thread.
Unfortunately I dont have the fix at the moment, I've just setup my retropie today and am sourcing games. I too wondered if there was a way to get ISS 2 and a upto date option file on the retro pie like we used to in the old days .

Currently I cant even find a ISS 2 rom that will even work... dont suppose you can link me to the one you are using then I can look into the option file issues ?

              Cheers

              Jack

@Jackarinus Request for ROMs are against the forum rules. If you have a specific support question, I advise you open a new topic instead of replying to year old ones.
