      Hello,
I set up my controller according to this guide

so I can use it via bluetooth.
It works fine in the menus and it works when connected via usb cable. But when its connected via bluetooth it wont control anything in the game. I dont believe it will even bring up the quick menu via hotkeys either.

I have the same problem. Try after starting the game, turn off and turn on the gamepad, it helps me.
