Amiberry - SDL2
-
Dear all,
Really good feedback with Amiberry as soon as the compilation is carried out with SDL2 instead of SDL1.
The installation from source, from Retropie menu, comes with SDL1. In this configuration the sound quality is bad.
If the compilation is done with SDL2 (carried out in a terminal), the sound quality is good.I went through the script file Amiberry.sh under RetroPie-Setup/scriptmodules/emulators/amiberry.sh. From this file as long as the var isPlatform = rpi3, the compilation should be carried out with SDL1.
Why not an update of the script to SDL2 ? -

I deleted the topic, which didn't contain anything.
@fraisdos125 if you have a specific question, please articulate it properly in a topic (this one is fine), don't just put the question in the topic and then nothing in the actual body. -
@mitu
Thank you for your comments. I have updated the post. -
Give this Github open item a read-over ... they talk about the SDL2 along with other Amiberry related topics.

Hi evryone and thanks for all the hard work,
I had the audio bug too (sound was really garbled) until I (apt) install libsdl2-ttf-dev and modify my
RetroPie-Setup/scriptmodules/emulators/amiberry.sh to go with SDL2
and update from source.
