      Hi,

      this is something a notice some time ago. If a make a fresh installation of lastest Retropie, available games per system always take a few seconds to appear, about 2 or 3, and fading. But, if I install any Retropie image with lots of games, they always appear instantly!

      Anybody knows where is the configuration for this?

      Thanks in advance!

        @edumj hello.

        Next time you ask for help please read https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first. In order to get help people will need this info.

        And please don't mention anything about 3rd party images on this site. Always best do fresh RetroPie image on your own from scratch!

        With my limited experience using RetroPie when you add roms they don't instantly show up in Emulationstation. You must restart Emulationstation in order for the just added games to show up.

        No idea if that was the answer you were looking for. Sorry if not. Somebody else will for sure have the answer i bet Edumj.

          Hi,

          sorry, I mean I have tried Batocera, Recalbox, Retropie and all behave the same. But that 3rd party image don't, so there must be some option I'm missing.

          I mean, when you scroll left or right in systems view, it appears the number of available games, right? But it shows up 2 or 3 seconds after the system appears, so if you change very quick to another system, you can't see it. You have to wait 2 seconds or more to see this number appearing and with a fading in.

          But, I've seen videos where they change system and the number of games appears instantly, no wait, no fade.

            @edumj try this: https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/12583/snes-mini-theme/758

            @ruckage said in SNES mini theme:

            @megasweet My guess is you have the transition style in EmulatonStation set to 'fade'. Press start to go to the EmulationStation options. Select 'UI Settings'. Then change 'Transition style' to 'instant'.

              @hhromic thanks!

              So, you can't have transitions if you want to see the number of games instantly...

              I didn't realize that!
