So I read this link today :
I don't see it as a challenger as I always found it was the price point that made it fun to ask " What can I do with the spare change in the floorboard of my Jeep combined with the random dollars in my wash".
My curiosity though, lies in the specs. Does anyone play with board such as these when it comes to emulators, desktop environments, or other tasks?
I suppose my main thrill, and their seeling point, is seeing the number 4 pop up this time a year in a board that resembles the Pi.
I think it's kind of cheap to follow the design and woding that closely but it is not a bag business strategy.
Not really intended to be another "RPi 4 2019 What To Expect" thread, I am more curious about experiences with better, similar boards and what we can look forward to with mini computing, especially when better technology fits into the long-standing price point.
A side note, what do you think about the price points? I almost like it. Though I guess they do it with the A, B, W.

I don't see it in any way different than other SBCs based on the RK3399 - there are countless ones released recently (like the Rock/Pine series). The XU4, despite being 'older' I think it has better support as far as RetroPie is concerned (i.e. emulators tested, graphic drivers, GPIO, etc.).
Do note that a better CPU and better graphics usually mean also you need a cooler/heatsink in these cases.
