Raspiboy help needed
-
[Hi all, another novice here. Iām hoping this forum is more active than the official 8BCraft one š
Love this little device and slowly learning my way round the Retropie menus and operating commands.
My issue is that the developer changed the way a user was able to check the remaining battery on the device.
The past models used to have a feature where a button on the back with a lightning symbol, could be pressed causing the four LED lights to illuminate on the front giving an approximate value of battery life remaining.
However for some reason this has been changed and the LED lights now show as 1 for on 2nd for low power, 3rd for charging and 4th for charging complete.
This new way of using the LED lights does not appear to work correctly and I have had two hard shut downs due to no low battery light appearing and no fully charged light either.
My question to you all is if there is any script that I can install to be able to check the remaining battery power which I can check occasionally to give me ample time to re charge before a hard shutdown occurs?
I am running a Retropie 4.4 image.
I really hope someone can help.
Thanks in advance,
Daniel

@Eyeball_36 iirc there's a specific sensor of sorts that would enable the potential to have an onscreen battery type of thing but it wasn't part of the raspiboy hardware. It was one of the grievances I had with the hardware, until it just fried completely. Sorry I'm not much more help
If I were to do the handheld thing again I'd do the mintypi V3
