      Good Evening,

I am attempting to wire up and configure buttons for arcade cabinet USB encoder buttons. They joypad is recognized so I don’t see it as a hardware wiring issue. When configuring the buttons. The joypad is recognized for up down left and right. Then I configure start with np. Then when I try to configure select with another buttons it says already taken. It’s seeing each push button as the same button as the first button pushed so I can’t configure it. Ant suggestions? Anyone else ever run into this?

      Thank you for any help

@bswin821 That's not how it should work - each button should have its own input code, otherwise how would the system differentiate between them ? Check the wiring on the encoders - make sure you didn't short any wires. It might help if you mention more info about your system - as requested in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first.

@bswin821 In addition to @mitu's suggestion, you could test your button numbers with jstest like it is described in the Docs.
