Hello, I have a retropie 4.4 and I loaded some new themes, when I rebooted the pi got stuck on the emulation station boot screen.

I then ssh into it and launched retropie setup. I then went to

      Configuration/tools

      then chose

      configedit

      then went to

      Advanced Configuration

      then choose

      Manually edit global configs

That way i could edit out the theme that might be giving me trouble.

But when I choose that option the menu just flashes and never launches the "manually edit goals configs" menu.

Any idea how to overcome this?

      Thanks!

The Configuration Editor is used for RetroArch configuration, not for Emulationstation. It has no effect on the startup process.
Please add more info as requested in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first and add the Emulationstation log file from /home/pi/.emulationstation/es_log.txt to pastebin.com so we can take a look.

@raulitob Great, now someone will come in 1 year, having the same problem, and reply to this topic asking you 'how did you solve it ?'.

Actually I really didn't solve it, the load time was so long initially i thought it was stuck.
It eventually loaded and after a couple reboots it loads normally now.
              Sorry about not updating that.

              Thanks!
