SD card 200gb doesn't boot
-
Hello
I'm a bit confused. I flashed a 128gb Retropie image on a Sandisk 200Gb SD card and installed it on a Raspberry Pi 3B + and it works fine.
I decided to install it for a friend on a new Raspberry but it doesn't boot. There is the yellow lightning sign on the screen but no boot. I used the working sd card on this Raspberry and it doesn't boot too. I noticed a pin header on the new Rasp that is not present on the working one.
I used a Raspberry PSU (2.5amp) and Retropie is 4.4
I used a 16gb sd card and the Rasp boots ....
Help please. -
@toucthebitum Yellow lightning sign means inadequate power supply - the PI doesn't get enough power. What model is the 2nd Pi (which doesn't boot) ?
-
I use the same model : Raspberry Pi 3 B+, one without pin header and the other with.
-
the 4 pin header on top left are missing on the working model
-
@toucthebitum My guess is that your image is for 3B and the non-working one is 3B+. Which kernel version is on the non-working image ? Is it based on Raspbian Stretch, which RetroPie version ? Please add more info about the setup, as requested in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first.

@mitu
Thanks for your reply.
I'm a newbie and don't understand all you ask ;)
I have to see if I got a Pi 3 B instead of a B+ but I'm 99% sure I have Raspberries Pi 3 B+
I downloaded a custom flash image and I can quote the source of it here.
Strange thing is that this image works on one Rasp Pi 3 B+ and not on the others Pi 3 B+ with the same image. -
You were right, I got a Rasp PI 3 B ....
You found the problem
Thanks
