      HI all,
I used to love playing this as a child. I have an LHA version but it runs too fast. Was advised to set BITTER-WAIT in the WHDLOAD_DB.XML file which has made the speed correct but now the game has a flickering effect. Particularly if a person is on the screen such as the Nurse in the Hospital or your assistant at the start.

Anyone got any further tips on how to fine tune this game?

      FYI my system is:

      System spec below:
      Raspberry Pi 3 Model B
      Raspberry Pi 2.5 amp PSU
      SanDisk 64GB SD card
      4 x Logitech F710 Wireless Controllers
      1x 4 port USB 2 Hub
1 x Logitech Wireless Mouse and Keyboard
O.S. RetroPie 4.4 with most recent updates

      Thanks,
      Greg

Try to find "Chipset Cycle Exact" hdf version . It exists and works fine. I love this game, one of my all time favourites.

@youxia is that a setting a config file or another version of the game?

Another version. I think I used to run it before Amiberry, on UAE4ALL. Not sure if it was adf or hdf now.

I just tried again and got it running with that Cycle Exact hdf. But it was flickering and running fast. Ticking "wait for blitter" in options fixed that. Maybe it will work for normal lha version too.

Actually, scratch that. I see now the game is still running fast, no matter what. I have suggested myself by the fact that it actually is still quite playable and some minigames (hospital, top down ants) look normal. The rest, I thought maybe it's down to my NTSC TV. But after comparing it with a cycle-exact version on my PC it's definitely a bit faster.

So I've spent the whole evening yesterday trying to sort it out, to no avail. I've also remembered discussions about this subject here over a year ago: https://retropie.org.uk/forum/post/105234
Basically it boils down to RPi's Amiga emus lacking the cycle exact option. Some games require it, especially in WHDLoad versions. Barbarian is another good example. The "solution" was to run adfs of these games instead, but for ICFTD it does not work either. Bummer.
