      Hi,

i updated to Kodi 18. When I play a movie and for example press the escape key I get a very large Kodi screen. So big in fact that my mouse pointer is as large as my entire TV screen. When I manage to get out of this screen the movie is shown again in normal size but moving the mouse causes the entire screen to become black and shows very large menu and mouse pointer.

That link is for the beta. I updated today to the official 18 release. Does this apply to me?

I did a fresh install of Retropie and added Kodi again. The problem is gone.
Can this happen again in my fresh install?

Yes, if you have overscan_scale=1 in config.txt it also applies to you.

In my fresh install the overscan option is turned off (commented out) by default.
In my previous install updating must have enabled it somehow or it was enabled. I used the same image for my SD card so no idea what happend.

@blup I don't know how the latest image of RetroPie comes, if with overscan_scale enabled or disabled, my RetroPie install script disables it anyway.
But I can guarantee that installing or updating Kodi does not change it.
If you have overscan_scale enabled and a kernel/firmware older than 5 December, that bug will happen.
