Cannot connect PS4 Controller to RetroPie (RPI3)
-
I followed the steps at the wiki (https://github.com/retropie/retropie-setup/wiki/Setting-up-a-PS4-controller) to set up my PS4 controller to work with RetroPie and after getting ds4drv installed and scanning for devices, when I hit Share+PS button to pair, it just continuously blinks white on the LED until it eventually times out and stops trying to pair.
Everything seems installed correctly, but I can't seem to get ds4drv to detect the bluetooth controller. When I go into bluetoothctl as well I do not see the MAC address of the controller when it is in pairing mode.
I have both Python 2.7 and Python 3.4 development installed and installed all dependencies I could find that it might use. No errors when installing using PIP and I even uninstalled and reinstalled straight from the Git site.
Any ideas?

@aaronmelzak Hope you got it fixed by now? If so let us know.
I did read the PS3 controller does not like the on board Bluetooth on the Pi3 but is OK with a dongle. I have no way to test this but worth a go if you can.

If you are facing any error with your PS4. I recommend a solution . Many updated errors are listed here: http://errorcodespro.com/ultimate-ps4-error-code-list/ with its solution. Thanks

Or try a different controller: https://nostalgiatechs.com/retro-games-controller-usb-wireless/

I had the same issue; my PS4 controller would pair but then not work. So I had to buy the USB wireless adapter, and now the controller works fine.
