Scraping not working

Hi all,
i am new here and have set up retropie on odroid xu4. Everything seems to be working properly. Only issue i have is with scraping games. I saw the issue mentioned from January. When i try to update my emulationstation package it seems to not be working. My version shown on the menue when hitting start is still 2.7.x.
Is this update not working with odroid?
I also tried to install other scraper but also not working. I always receive a „hash not found“ error.
Could someone please give me some hints?

@Tomato22 You will likely need to complete the update for the internal scraper to work. But there exist external scrapers which work very well. There are links to several here https://www.screenscraper.fr
If you dig around the forum you will see links to others and info on all of them.

What is the error you're getting when you update ? Also, please add the info requested in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first to your post.
