      Hi.
      I have Retropie running on a 3B+.
I have installed the desktop and can access it through the port menu in Retropie.
After opening the desktop app i want to add software to it but the option to Add/Remove Software is missing from the menu.
      What am i doing wrong?
I have searched the forum and google but cant find answers.
      Thanks in advance!

The application behind it is probably not installed. Install synaptic from the command line

        sudo apt -y install synaptic

and then see if the option appears in the desktop menu.

Ok i downloaded synaptic from the command line and i now have the synaptic package manager as an option under preferences.
Still no Add/Remove option to be found though.
Thank you for your help, this is proving to be a steep learning curve for me!

@nireves1 Then start synaptic, it's a graphical interface for the package management in Debian. What is the name of the application that powers the Add/Remove menu ?

EDIT: the application seems to be called pi-package - so try install it and you should have the Add/Remove menu appear.

                Aha! I found it!
I had to type ''sudo apt-get install pi-package'' in terminal.
