      Hi! so, recently I followed a guide on installing RetroPie through way of raspbian lite. After setting it up, I then used the adafruit guide to setting up a PITFT ( 2.5 - 3.6 if anyone is wondering ) and used the custom setup. It worked fine, until I tried to load a few roms onto it. The system now displays a blinking emulation station logo, text at the bottom that flickers through 'Setting up Super Nintendo' and 'Done.' I've waited thinking that it may just be loading, but after an hour and a half, I come back to the Pi still on the same screen.
      Does the Pi just have a corrupted OS? or is it a user error. Parts I am using:
      https://goo.gl/n3fCvM - Micro USB hub
      https://goo.gl/6yuUEY - 2.4 inch PiTFT Hat
      https://goo.gl/7W2QmX - Sandisk Cruzer Glide USB Flash Drive 4 GB
      https://goo.gl/9iEwgd - 4 GB MicroSDHC card

       Thank you for your time, If you have any other questions , It may take up to an hour for me to reply.

        Looks like insufficient video memory - which guide did you follow ? You need to allocate some video RAM for Emulationstation - and emulators - to run on the PI - https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Manual-Installation/#verify-the-allocated-video-memory-memory-split.

        The RetroPie image for the PI is also a Raspbian Lite installation with RetroPie pre-installed and configured - so there's not much difference from a manual installation over Raspbian.

            @Noodloodle From the RetroPie's config.txt:

            gpu_mem_256=128
            gpu_mem_512=256
            gpu_mem_1024=256
