      Are you able to use custom joystick maps in Lr-mame-2003-plus? I'm playing Tron and keep hitting the diagonals so I found a joystick mapping program online to help. The program created a tron.ini file to override but I can't seem to find where Lr-mame-2003-plus reads an ini file for specific roms. I've also noticed that the default.cfg and tron.cfg files found in the rom folder are not readable when opening in notepad or notepad++ like typical cfg files, but they are working properly.

        I was able to find the catver.ini file using filezilla. It's under /opt/retropie/libretrocores/lr-mame2003-plus/metadata. But I can't test my tron.ini because I don't have permissions to write to the location. Root permissions.

        Found a decent video here to gain permissions:

          Copied my tron.ini file to location /opt/retropie/libretrocores/lr-mame2003-plus/metadata.........it didn't work.
