The Amstrad cpc emulator isn't running games when I enter the run command. I have followed all the steps on https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Amstrad-CPC/ It seems to be working fine; the emulator loads properly and when I enter the CAT command, I get a message similar to the docs that says:

      • ZORK1 .COM* 9K
      • ZORK1 .DAT* 83K
But when I enter RUN"ZORK1 it just says: ZORK1 • not found

I am running retropie 4.4 on a raspberry pi 3 b+ and I am using the virtual keyboard. I am actually using the virtual keyboard because my wireless usb keyboard was running the associated hotkey function every time I pressed a letter even when not pressing the hotkey enable. I could just disable all the hotkey functions, but it seems there should be a more convenient fix. If anyone could help me out on either of these problems, that would be great. Thanks

Edit: I tried running other games on the Amstrad emulator and they work fine. I honestly should've thought of and done this before posting a topic and now I feel really dumb. So I came to find out the rom for Zork was a clone and that was why it wasn't working. Anyway, problem solved.

@Double_J Does the autostart-feature is not working for you?
Usually you select a disk or tape image and then it will autoload. Did you try annother emulator ... CapriceRPI

@cyperghost I'm guessing the autostart feature is not working. I'm not exactly sure what you mean by selecting disc or tape image. I have tried running the |TAPE & | DISC commands followed by RUN". The disc one says bad command and the tape one says:
          Press PLAY then any key:
But as I obviously don't have an actual Amstrad cpc tape reader to press play on, this doesn't work. After looking in other places, I found 2 possible solutions.

          1. include the file extension with the run command (e.g. RUN"ZORK1.DAT) but this did nothing
          2. run the command |CPM - This one ran the game, but it was so blurry you couldn't even tell you were looking at lines of text

One last thing, I'm a total noob at this and I have no idea which emulator I'm using. I just placed the rom in RetroPie/roms/amstradcpc. How do I find/change which emulators I am using. Thanks to anyone who replies.

Ok, so I found all the emulators in Retropie Setup under Manage Packages and I installed Frotz which I was immediately able to play Zork on. I still wanted to figure out my original problem though, so I changed my emulator to CapriceRPI (I was actually on lr-caprice32 before). But now, whenever I enter CAT or any command to play the game, it says:
            Drive A: disc missing
So my original problem is still unsolved but at least I can now play Zork and I know how to mess with the emulators.
