Adding a light gun collection option\button to the showcase theme

Hello,

I'm pretty new to the Retropie scene.

I'm currently using the "Wolfanoz ArcadeOnly 32GB" image and it has some game collections you can scroll through in the Showcase theme, such as Mortal Kombat, Capcom classics, cps1, cps2, cps3 etc. as I'm sure you all know :)

I wanted to understand how I can add my own Light gun games collection to the showcase theme and have it show specific games I would like to add to it.

I browsed around a bit in winSCP and saw which png image sizes i should use.

I do not have permissions to add folders to /etc/emulationstation/ which is where i saw all the themes are stored.
(I would love to know how i can get permissions to access that folder)

I saw that there is another folder in /opt/retropie/configs/all/emulationstation/ that i tried creating a new themes folder and in it and put my lightgungames folder, which didn't show up on emulationstation after a restart, i then tried to create a showcase folder inside the themes folder and put my lightgungames folder in there. but that really messed up everything.

Would love for someone to help me figure out how to achieve this small addition to the image.

Third party images are not supported here.
