Bought the EG Starts 2 Player Arcade Kit on Amazon ( https://www.amazon.com/EG-Classic-Joystick-Illuminated-Raspberry/dp/B06WGX76HT/ref=sr_1_5?keywords=eg+arcade&qid=1557510869&s=gateway&sr=8-5 ) and set up my own system using RetroPie 4.4.

Everything works great no issues, that is until I install Daphne and Dragon's Lair. I was able to get it installed and it responds to the keyboard. I tried mapping the arcade buttons and joystick but am having a hell of a time getting it configured. I have watched videos but haven't been able to get any closer. Anyone have any suggestions?

It's a bit of a pain, have you read through this document?

        https://www.daphne-emu.com:9443/mediawiki/index.php/Input

        http://www.daphne-emu.com/mediawiki/index.php/KeyList

I assume your encoder is like mine and the button/joystick presses are keyboard mappings, if you know what they are then you just need to edit the dapinput.ini accordingly.

To give you some context, my Coin keyboard mapping = 5, so for Daphne that equals 53, joystick up = up, which maps to 273 in daphne, button 1 = LCTRL which maps to 306
