How do you exit the "Configuring Keyboard" screen?

Hi,
I've been down the list configuring my keys for the keyboard. However at the bottom, on the "OK" button I cannot get anything to choose this and exit/save.I've tried the keys I setup for "Select" and "Start", neither do anything. F4 just exits the GUI without saving anything.
I tried the keys on my joystick as well, nothing will exit this screen and save.
Any ideas?

@thedavegray it should be the Button you configured as "a".
It takes some time after you pressed it, the mapping is saved and that takes some seconds.
