If this has been answered already my apologies I haven't found it. I'm trying to make a copy of my image for my buddy but he only has a 256gb card and mine is on a 400gb. So I took a few systems out and cut it down to fit then backed the image up with windiskimager but when I went to write it to his card it says not enough space. Even though I removed a lot of data it's still trying to write it as a 400gb card. How do I cut down some of my build onto his card? Do I have to start from scratch? Thanks guys!

@DAN00BIN8R the image backup method will always produce a larger file, you have to install the new system from scratch and copy the roms/artwork/configs manually to the new system.

Yes you can resize your sd card img but you need a bit of linux knowledge (gparted and truncate) to do it and a linux machine or VM.

Some pretty good instructions on here
