I just wondered if the new raspberry pi 4 are able to run N64 games without stuttering like the B+ does.

Do anyone know at this moment how powerfull the new pi is in trems of retro gaming?

Even RPi2 has enough firepower for N64 games. Mine runs Mario Kart, F-Zero and Doom 64 at full speed. Even heavier games such as 007 GoldenEye and Perfect Dark runs with a good framerate, although not full speed.

So, if 2 runs it, then the new model will give even better results.

N64 emulation has already been acheived, like Solid One has said. but it will still be a chore to have PERFECT emulation since developers backward engineered some parts to fit their needs for their games.

The biggest problem I have found is the emulator and not so much the platform...

Even on my desktop with 4.3ghz and 16Gig DDR4 ram with 4GB video card... the Emulator sucks...

@Swedishkiller12 It has more power and an important software part (GLES compatibility) is solved/improved. The emulators on N64 still could need some work, but the Pi 4 will most probably be a big improvement on N64 games. We can't say more than this.
