I've got an Astro City cab that I've been meaning to work on for ages. I've finally found some time and have now got all of the pieces to get it working with retropie.

I've got a JPAC connected to the jamma harness and then VGA connected to the Gert VGA 666 on the Pi. I have the following hdmi_timing set in config.txt:
      320 1 16 30 34 240 1 2 3 22 0 0 0 60 0 6400000

Retropie loads and using this as the default, mame and neogeo roms load. Only issue is that the resolution looks off, and so I tried using the onstart script from here. that's working, but with the 1920 resolution the screen is really thing horizontally. I thought using these higher resolution for the horizontal would help achieve pixel perfect.

      Does anyone know how to configure the hdmi_timing for the neogeo (from the retrotink link - vcgencmd hdmi_timings 1920 1 152 250 280 224 1 13 8 19 0 0 0 59.185 0 40660000 1) so that it will actually fill the screen on the ms8?

      Thanks...

In addition to the part from the runcommand-onstart.sh, you also have to configure the viewport in RetroArch - see https://github.com/Vykyan/retroTINK-setup/blob/master/opt-retropie-configs/neogeo/retroarch.cfg.
