Arcade Sticks compatibility
-
Hi, went and bought myself a shiny new Raspberry Pi 4 last week for the eventual set up (when RetroPie catch up) of a cool little emulator hub for all the good stuff out there, my main question is about MAME and certain stick compatibilities, I have a Mad Catz SFV T2 fight stick and would like to use it as my main arcade stick for authenticity as can't stand playing MAME on pads, is this stick good to go or is there any workarounds for it? any knowledge of this would be appreciated, thanks...

@kwodkore So you're asking if a specific arcade stick works well with hardware that isn't widely available and software that isn't written yet?

Mad Catz SFV T2
I guess you are talking about the TE2, this is a pretty old fightstick which is directly recognized by RetroArch's autoconfig system, i don't think you'll have compatibility issues whatever your setup.

Besides being a Retropie Enthusiast i also use to collect Arcade.-Sticks since 20 years, starting with the legendary HanaHo HotRod SE.
I have the PS3-Version of the MadCatz StreetFighter4 Tournament Stick.
I did not manage to get this one work with Retropie.Same with the very cool NeoGeoStick2+, also for the PS3.
The only one that really was recognized at once by retropie is the MortalKombat-Tournament Stick (also PS3).
I am fine with that, as i really like this one and have two of them. -
@sirhenrythe5th interesting to know, thanks for the input

@barbudreadmon yes that's the one, seems quite hopeful then going forward, can but wait and see, thanks for input

@IanDaemon I was just inquiring really, I'm guessing if similar sticks worked with similar hardware not too long back that it would pretty much be a given, can just wait and see, thanks for input regardless...

@kwodkore I didn't mean to sound angry or irritated. Thank you for not "jumping down my throat". Sorry for seeming like a jack*** about it.
