Resetting controls on Mame4all?

Hi, know this has been covered but couldn't find an answer by searching. I un-assigned my 'Tab' key in mame and need to default the controls to get to it again. I looked at past posts and it said goto path /opt/retropie/configs/mame-mame4all/cfg and delete a file called 'default.cfg'. I went there and there's no 'default.cfg' file. In the /mame-mame4all/ directory there are the following files: emulators.cfg, launching.png, mame.cfg, retroarch.cfg. Should I delete one of these instead? Also under opt/retropie/configs/ I had the following directories: /mame-advmame, and /mame-libretro..... Any help would be appreciated - Thanks!

@tslayer71 Please add more info about your system - https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first. The advice in the docs assumes your ROM are in the mame-mame4all folder, are your ROMs there ?

The roms are in /home/pi/retropie/roms/arcade.......

Controls

While in a game press Tab to open the menu to set up controls. The MAME4ALL tab menu configuration is stored in:

/opt/retropie/configs/mame-mame4all/cfg/default.cfg
Other files in this cfg directory are ROM specific configs.

Note: Should your input configuration or other aspect of the configuration need resetting to defaults, remove the default.cfg or ROM specific .cfg file, and it will be re-created with default values next time you start MAME4ALL or modify the ROM configuration.

Here's the solution - at least in my case. Exit emulationstation to command line. Use the find file command : sudo find / -name default.cfg . It showed me the path of: home/pi/retropie/roms/arcade/mame2003/cfg. I then used 'file manager' in retropie menu in emulationstation to goto correct path and delete 'default.cfg'. I restarted emulationstation and was good to go......
