SAMBA Can't get it working
-
I can transfer ROMs via USB and the web manager fine but wanted the SAMBA share access, I can't seem to get it working. RETROPIE shows up in Network on Win10 and I've got SMBv1 enabled since I already knew about that networking issue with Win10. I've had a search of the forums and can't turn anything up that works.
I installed via the image and followed the guides.
Can anyone assist?
Cheers.

@JustinWagga What is the error you're getting when trying to access the file shares ?

@mitu Error code: 0x80070043

This looks to translate to 'Name not found' - did you try typing
\\retropie
or\\retropie.local
directly into Windows Explorer ?Also, you don't need to enable SMBv1 in Windows 10 (and you really shouldn't), RetroPie is perfectly capable of working with SMBv2 and SMBv3. Where did you find this information ?

@mitu Yeah I have, the IP address doesn't work either. It was just a recommended fix I found by Googling.

I would rollback the changes in your Win10 install. What edition and version of Win 10 do you have ? I know some editions disable automatcally guest login.
