      Retroarch 1.7.5
Discs of Tron loaded using LRMAME2010

I have spent the better part of 3 nights trying to figure this out and I am out of my league.

I purchased the Turbotwist Push/Pull spinner from Groovygamer and a flight stick specifically so I could play Tron and Discs of Tron. I built a small control panel just for those controls. The Turbotwist is recognized as a mouse (mouse 0) and I have confirmed in putty. Pushing down is recognized as a left mouse click and pulling up is recognized as a right mouse click.

I cannot for the life of me figure out how to assign the spinner to the "aimer" for throwing discs in game. The aim left and aim right are defaulted as "left shoulder" and "right shoulder" for a snes controller. I can use the Retroarch menu in game to get to the inputs and I can chose those to add the spinner however it asks to "click" what device you want to add with a countdown clock. Spinning the spinner doesn't register and if push the spinner up or down it registers those buttons as the control so now the "push" is assigned, not the "spin". I have read all DOT posts but I can't find any assistance. I have seen where these can be assigned via the .cfg file. I can navigate to the dotron.cfg file in roms/arcade/Mame2010 folder but I do not know the format and I don't want to screw anything up.

Thanks in advance for any help. I'm over $200 in and I just want to play the 2 games I bought this for :)
