Can someone give me a quick lesson on how to change these fields you see when you hit TAB? I know about up/down arrow and return.

I keep ending up with bunches of keys because I don't know how to exit, delete existing, etc.

      Thanks

Also are these retained? Would be nice to keep it in free play.

Use Esc Esc to clear an input setting (after pressing Enter to edit its bindings). I think any settings are saved automatically - either globally or per-game.

The mapping shown above uses "X" for both right/up and fire which is nonsense. No one would set that as the default IMHO.

You can delete the .ini file produced by the MAME menu configuration - https://retropie.org.uk/docs/lr-mame2003/#mame-menu.

ESC ESC on this PI restores it to what it was before editing.

I'd like to know how to map it to "NONE" just to think I had mastery of this.

                Thank you
