      Hello,

      we ( @tpo1990 and me ) are working on scriptmodule for ecwolf.
      The sourcecode needs a bit of patching to get ESC key bound to a gamepad button. I think it's not good practice to download patch via github command and set the patch manual.
      I stumpled of the applyPatch command in sourced helpers.sh. How does this command work exactly. Can it be used to only local installed files that are residing in RetroPie-Setup directory?

      Any help would be much appreciated.
