Possible to Make Cheats Permanent?

I read the wiki on loading cheats, but that looks to be a everytime-you-play type thing. I can deal with that, but my girlfriend, maybe not so much. Is there no way to apply the cheats in such a way that they stick so that the game always loads patched?

@rebeltaz Just a guess, but maybe (some) cheats are saved within a save state? That way, enabling the cheats would be only one press of the load savestate hotkey away.
