Basically trying to figure out why some games can't be found, I'm also struggling to get things to show up properly in my gameslist on retropie - for example multi disc games like Final Fantasy VII, they have bin and cue files, do I want it to hide the cue files, or does it need them to launch the games? some games don't have a cue file but are just .bin files, so if I set it to hide one or the other, some games won't appear.
My setup is done in such a way that I can stick this SD card into my RPi console and everything works fine, and pull it out and stick it in my rooted PS Vita and also have RetroArch on there and other emulators can access the same games etc seamlessly.
Can someone good with Skraper check out the logs and see where I might be going wrong?
thanks in advance.

Go to launchbox or game faq and see if the game has an alternate title. I know I had issues and it couldn't find Donkey Kong Country 2 and 3 until I put the full title as the name. Donkey Kong Country 2 - Diddy's Kong Quest and Donkey Kong Country 3 - Dixie Kong's Double Trouble! Twisted Metal III won't scrape, but Twisted Metal 3 will... it doesn't take much to throw off the scraper.
