Hello, I am having an issue with the screen size when playing n64 games. Most of the games are a full size like PokemonSnap and StarFox64. However, Mario Kart 64 is shrunken to the corner. I stumbled upon another game that did this a couple of days ago but I have forgotten what title it was. I was using Mupen64plus-auto for all the games in the images below. I have tried different emulators for Mario Kart but it still has the same problem. Do you guys have any idea what could be the issue or is there something I need to change? Thanks!!!

this is because the gles2n64 plugin (one of the graphics plugins selected by mupen64plus-auto for certain games) has recently been updated to run at a correct (lower) resolution. it should upscale to fill screen but your symptom could happen if you updated your retropie-setup script without also updating mupen64plus. if it doesn’t work updating m64plus by binary, try by source (takes 20-30 mins)

Thanks, that fixed the issue. I needed to update from the source.

@rharvey09 you've been scammed. retropie is free, and the seller is breaking the license :( https://retropie.org.uk/about/legal/

however, on standard retropie, here is how you update: https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/wiki/Updating-RetroPie#updatinginstalling-individual-packages (you wanna pick 'mupen64plus' from the 'main' packages, and pick 'binary' (they have been updated by now so you don't need to pick 'source').

Thanks for the tip @dankcushions. This was driving me insane. I'll update from source when Mario Kart 64 misbehaves from now on :)
