Can anyone help I have followed the indestructibles guide (and several others) to connect my Xbox One Controller by Bluetooth to my RPi3B.

The controller connects and is active but the Configure Input says No Gamepads detected.

      Any pointers?

Pi Model or other hardware: 3B

      Power Supply used: 5v1.2ak

      RetroPie Version Used: 4.5.1

      Built From:
Pre made SD Image on RetroPie website
      retropie-4.5.1-rpi2_rpi3.img

USB Devices connected: USB Targus keyboard

Controller used: Xbox One Bluetooth controller 1708

Error messages received: No Gamepads Detected on the Config Input Screen

Log found in /dev/shm/runcommand.log (if relevant): no file

      Guide used: https://www.instructables.com/id/Fixed-Setup-for-Xbox-One-Bluetooth-Controller-With/

      File: n/a

      Emulator: emulationstation v2.8.4rp

Attachment of config files: (PLEASE USE PASTEBIN.COM FOR LARGE LOGS)

      How to replicate the problem:
Follow guide, Microsoft Xbox One controller shows at connected and active in the Bluetooth screens. Then go to Configure Input screen and receive message No Gamepads detected

Does the controller work if you run jstest /dev/input/js0 ?

Also not sure if this thread has more info than the link you provided but maybe check it out.

You should try out the xpadneo driver: https://github.com/atar-axis/xpadneo

see the section under install. This is specifically designed to work with the bluetooth xbox one controller model 1708.
