      Hi all,

Got my RetroPie configured so that it launches all computer type games directly from savestates on C64 (Vice) & Atari (Hatari). I am trying to do the same for Amiga but looking up the documentation I cannot find a command line option for UAE4ALL or UAE4ARM to get it to launch straight into the savestate. I have been able to use config files but the problem I have with that loading time is slow. I want to have all the games that I used to play in the 90's without the loading times.

Anyone know of a way to launch Amiga games into savestates?

also looking for kind of solution with no results yet. but i have got solution for you about slow loading. im using (instead of adf images) pre-instaled hdf's files (single hdf per game) with whdl games which are working perfect with both uae4all and uae4arm. no need to swap disk images anymore, and the loading time is like way ... waaaaay faster.
        cheers

@xFlesk wow that sounds like a perfect middle ground. Do you have a link on how to make hard drive images?

hmm, i have no such link. im sitting a longer while in amiga emu. im preparing hdfs by myself using my custom workbench 3.9 bb4 running on winuae. it take some time and i dont know if my english is good enough for it ;).

            first:
search pleasuredome tracker for whdload games package (they have really good one with almost all games i know).

            second:
i hope you know winuae a little bit and you allready have your own workbech os ? if not use one of those included on this site http://classicwb.abime.net/ (i recomend FULL version, but you can use also UAE version). then you have everything you need to easly edit your hdfs within amiga os.

            third:
download the latest whdload version (its free now) from http://www.whdload.de/.

using winuae create a hdf file (i pick a size depending on the size of whdl game). name it. mount it into your workbench. create a default amiga folder tree (C, Devs, Libs, S) copy your game, copy whdl to C, prepare startup-sequence and thats it.

            sounds pretty easy ;)
or i can share some games which i allready prepared so you can test by yourself. take a look at the structure etc. ? give me a sign

            cheers

            ps
also i was thinking to create a step by step tutorial for it but as for now i have no time :( (woman, work, life etc ;) )

@xFlesk Really appreciate the detailed instructions, will give it a shot!

@vincedj I have tried the config updates and is fine but wanted it with minimal loading times. Savestates are perfect on most systems but doesn't look possible to launch directly into one here.
