I am a noob to retropie so I have no idea what I am doing, but my right analog left won't register. I have looked throught the forums and I found one helpful one which I some how was able to use to fix it, but then I accidentaly unplugged my raspberry pi and now I can't fix it. In the one forum it said to exit emulationstation and use the thing to make sure all of the buttons are working which when I did the thing with the right analog to the left it was stuck at -32767 and I don't know if that's a bad thing. I am using a powerA wired controller it's the only controller I have . I also have a raspberry pi 2 b.

Looks like a bug in Emulationstation, which was fixed recently. Can you try installing the emulationstation-dev package, from the experimental section, and see if it fixes the problem ?

@mitu Unfortunately it does not help, the problem remains.
Sometimes it occurs with a wired xbox 360 gamepad, and constantly with xbox one bluetooth. It is also difficult to bind triggers on it. Checked on the latest version available through the regular update mechanism.

@AdVv Can you add more info about your system - https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first ?
The fix for the trigger mapping should be now in the stable branch also, can you tell what version of Emulationstation are you running ?

I've had the same issue. I would configure all I could (except LEFT on the right analog stick) and accept. Then I would configure the controller again, and LEFT on the right analog stick works now after the second configuration.

I have set up a new retropie with two xbox one wireless controllers. Both have worked perfectly.
Then, after weeks of intense use, the left on the right joystick stopped working on the first controller. But Ok I just used the second controller for that single game where I need both analogue joysticks. Today after month of intense use the same thing appeared on the second controller. The left on the right joystick stopped working. I have tested the controllers on another linux using jstest-gtk, they are in perfect condition.
Just that single left axis on the right analogue joystick is affected. everything else is still working. strange.
