Dreamcast and PS2 controller not working

Good Evening Gamers,
I am having issues getting PS2 remotes to work with Dreamcast. I can get the games to with a PS3 remote and my current PS2 remote works with the rest of my games. I am working on Retropie version 4.5.1 on a Raspberry Pi 3 B+. All of the other controllers I have tried works with the other games and dreamcast. The PS2 controller is the only one I am having issues with. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.
